Resource Limits
Introduction
This document defines the resource entitlements and operational limits applicable to the Cadence Platform.
Resource limits form part of the Cadence legal framework and apply to all Tenant Organizations according to their selected Subscription.
The limits described in this document help ensure fair use, reliable operation, and consistent performance for all customers.
Capitalised terms have the meanings defined in the Legal Overview.
1. Subscription Resource Limits
The following resource limits apply to each Subscription.
| Resource | Evaluation | Solo 10 | Solo 25 | Solo 50 |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Storage | 2 GB | 10 GB | 50 GB | 250 GB |
| Maximum File Upload | 25 MB | 50 MB | 100 MB | 100 MB |
| API Access | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use |
| Email Notifications | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use |
| Push Notifications | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use | Fair Use |
2. Add-On Resources
Where available, additional resources may be purchased as add-ons.
Examples include:
| Add-On | Description |
|---|---|
| Active Clients | Additional Active Client capacity. |
| Storage | Additional storage capacity. |
| Other Platform Resources | As published in the current pricing information. |
The availability of add-ons depends on the applicable Subscription.
3. Operational Limits
To maintain the security and reliability of the Platform, certain technical limits apply independently of Subscription limits.
These may include:
- API request rates;
- authentication requests;
- concurrent sessions;
- file processing;
- background jobs;
- import and export operations;
- notification throughput;
- email delivery rates.
These limits are operational safeguards and are not intended as commercial usage limits.
4. Fair Use
Certain Platform resources are provided on a Fair Use basis.
Fair Use allows normal business use while enabling us to protect the Platform and other customers from excessive or abusive consumption of shared resources.
Where practical, we will work with a Tenant Organization before applying restrictions resulting from unusually high resource usage.
5. Exceeding Subscription Limits
When a Subscription limit is reached, the Platform may, depending on the affected resource:
- display notifications or warnings;
- prevent the creation of additional resources;
- require a Subscription upgrade;
- require the purchase of an available add-on.
Unless otherwise stated, existing data remains accessible.
6. Temporary Operational Restrictions
To protect the Platform, we may temporarily restrict specific Platform functions where reasonably necessary to:
- maintain service availability;
- protect Platform security;
- respond to operational incidents;
- prevent abuse;
- comply with legal obligations.
Such restrictions will be limited to what is reasonably necessary and removed once the underlying issue has been resolved.
7. Changes to Resource Limits
We may update the resource limits described in this document from time to time.
Changes that reduce the resource entitlements of an active paid Subscription will not take effect until the next renewal period unless:
- required by applicable law;
- necessary to address security risks; or
- necessary to protect the stability or integrity of the Platform.
Operational limits may be adjusted at any time where reasonably necessary to maintain the reliable operation of the Platform.
